Crece adherida a rocas y troncos de árboles muertos, con tallos que se retuercen en una maraña antes de erguirse, desprendiendo una fragancia agradable. Una vez seca, suele prepararse en infusión. Se encuentra comúnmente en Hernand y Pailune.
