Una araña con líneas distintivas amarillas y negras por todo el cuerpo y las patas, como el pelaje de un tigre. Fabrica una gran tela circular para capturar insectos voladores que no se rompe con facilidad, ni siquiera cuando hay viento. Su veneno es efectivo a la hora de paralizar otros insectos, pero no resulta peligroso para los humanos. Suele estar más activa en verano y en otoño.
