Una farfalla con la totalità delle ali di un fondo bruno-nerastro intenso e una vistosa fascia verde smeraldo che le attraversa interamente. La fascia varia tonalità tra il turchese o l'acquamarina in base alla luce, creando un riflesso metallico simile a quello della piuma di pavone. Presenta una breve estensione caudale all'estremità.

The green band changes to turquoise or celadon depending on the angle of light, giving a metallic sheen like a peacock feather. It has a short, tail-like projection at its tip.
