Una farfalla di colore bruno caratterizzata da fasce rossastre e aranciate. Le ali anteriori presentano due grandi e nette macchie ocellari. Un altro paio di macchie di dimensioni notevoli si trova sulle ali posteriori.
A blend of reddish-brown and orange bands marks its brown base, with large, distinct eyespots on the forewings. Relatively large eyespots are also visible on the hindwings.
