雄雌で色が大きく異なるのが特徴。雌は濃い青藍色を基調に黒い外縁を持ち、後翅と根本付近には光沢を帯びた青色が強く現れている。雄はオレンジ色と黒色の模様が際立ち、ヒョウ柄のような斑紋を持つ。
