雄は鮮やかな黄色の翅を持ち、前翅に入ったオレンジ色のラインが最も大きな特徴。雌の翅は薄い黄色から薄い白色まで幅広く、オレンジ色のラインは薄くなる。
Males have vivid yellow wings with a prominent orange band on the forewings. The wing colors of females vary from pale yellow to light whitish tones, with the orange band appearing fainter.
