선명한 색과 긴 꼬리가 인상적인 동물. 초식성이며, 잎사귀나 꽃, 과일 등을 먹는다. 강한 다리와 날카로운 발톱으로 나뭇가지나 바위를 잘 타는 덕분에 먼 곳의 움직임도 민감하게 감지한다. 포식자에게 위협을 받게 되면 꼬리를 끊어 버리고 도주하지만 오래 지나지 않아 곧 다시 자란다.
Iguanas are known for their long tails and vivid colors. Primarily herbivorous, they eat leaves, flowers, and fruits. Excellent climbers, iguanas use strong limbs and sharp claws to navigate trees and rocks. Their tails can detach and regrow if lost to predators and can detect movement and predators from afar.
