Os machos apresentam asas amarelas vivas, com uma faixa laranja marcante nas asas anteriores. As fêmeas variam entre tons de amarelo pálido e quase branco, com a faixa laranja aparecendo de forma mais suave.
Males have vivid yellow wings with a prominent orange band on the forewings. The wing colors of females vary from pale yellow to light whitish tones, with the orange band appearing fainter.
