Quest: Bloodied Path β Hunting Red (Pailune Militia)
Location: Silver Wolf Mountain, Pailune

Combat Mechanics: Totem Phase (Critical)
Crussis is NOT a boss you can just hack away at. He has a shield/invincibility mechanic:
Phase 1 β Normal Combat: Attack him normally, dodge his moves, build up the stun meter.
Phase 2 β Totems Appear: Crussis becomes invincible and 5 totems (glowing pillar-like objects) spawn around the arena. Hitting the boss deals zero damage during this phase.
How to break it: Run to each totem and destroy it with a few quick attacks. Once all 5 totems are destroyed, Crussis's shield drops and he becomes vulnerable again.
Back to Phase 1: Continue your offense. The totem phase may trigger again β repeat the process.

Phase 1 Strategy: Normal Output
Crussis is a large blood/mud-form creature with slow but wide-ranging attacks. Don't stand still in front of him.
- Fire Imbue + Turning Slash β Most non-humanoid bosses in Crimson Desert are susceptible to fire stagger, Crussis included
- Dodge over block β His hits are heavy enough to guard-break
- Build the stun meter β When the yellow bar fills, he staggers and you get a free burst window
Phase 2 Strategy: Totems First
When totems appear, immediately stop attacking the boss and sprint to the totems.
- Totems have low HP β 2-3 quick attacks each to destroy
- Start with the nearest one and work your way around
- Dodge while running β Crussis keeps attacking during this phase
- Speed is everything β The longer totems survive, the more damage you take
Recommended Loadout
- Weapon: Two-handed sword or hammer β need high damage for fast totem clears and stun meter build
- Armor: Prioritize movement speed over raw defense β totem phase requires fast repositioning
- Consumables: 100+ Grilled Meat (can eat every 2 seconds mid-combat, even during attack animations), 2-3 Palmar Pills as insurance
Rewards
- Bloodstained Blessing β rare buff
- Abyss Artifact

Rare drops (1.5%): Destruction II, Fortification II

Tips
- If you can't damage the boss at all, look around for glowing totems β destroying them is the key.
- Read the objective text at the bottom of the screen β it tells you what to do in each phase.
- The totem phase is the real challenge, not the boss's damage output. Plan your running route in advance.
- Grilled Meat is your best friend β eat while attacking for near-infinite sustain.
- Crussis shares mechanics with the Mud Walker boss. If you've fought Mud Walker before, this will feel familiar.
