Faction: Delesyia > Aeserion, the Great Serpent > Priscus the Ancient

Location: Spire of Ringing Truth, west of Wayward Woods in Pailune

Difficulty: Medium-High (requires Nature's Snare skill)

Prerequisites: Sufficient Delesyia faction quest progress

How to Reach the Spire

The Spire of Ringing Truth sits on a mountain west of the Wayward Woods. Three ways to get there:

  • Climb the mountain from the Wayward Woods side
  • Abyss Nexus teleport from the mountaintop fast travel point in front of the Spire
  • Abyss Cresset teleport from the two Cressets located north of the Spire

Entering the Basement: Bell Drop Puzzle

The boss is underground, but the entrance is sealed. You need to drop the bell from the top of the tower to smash through the floor.

Step 1 β€” Enter the Spire: Walk through the open door on the side of the tower.

Step 2 β€” Climb to the top: The easiest method is triple Force Palm jump (jump then R3 / Mouse Wheel three times in a row). Recharge Spirit between jumps with L3+R3. Alternatively, climb the ladders and stone stairs inside.

Step 3 β€” Shoot the bell loose: At the top floor, aim your bow at the wooden beam holding the bell and shoot it. If a normal arrow doesn't break it, use the Charge Shot skill. The bell crashes down and punches a hole through every floor.

Step 4 β€” Glide into the basement: Jump into the hole and glide down to the bottom. Approach the glowing hallway to trigger the boss fight.

Boss Fight: Priscus the Ancient

Faction Quest marker | Boss location

Core Mechanic: Airborne Boss

Priscus floats in the air for the entire fight. Normal melee attacks cannot reach him. You must use ranged abilities to knock him down, then burst him with melee while he's grounded.

Required Skills & Gear

  • Nature's Snare (essential): Blocks his laser projectiles. This is the single most important skill for this fight. Warning: Nature's Snare does NOT block shadow attacks or spear attacks β€” dodge those.
  • Nature's Snare Retribution: Follow-up ability that pulls Priscus to the ground after blocking his laser.
  • Sleep Arrows: Hit him to force a temporary landing β€” use when Nature's Snare is on cooldown.
  • Turning Slash: Your main melee damage skill while he's grounded.
  • Forward Slash / Armed Combat: Build his stun meter (yellow bar) during ground windows.

Combat Loop

The entire fight follows this cycle:

  • Priscus floats and fires laser projectiles β†’ Block with Nature's Snare
  • Immediately follow up with Nature's Snare Retribution β†’ pulls him to the ground
  • Optional: fire Sleep Arrows to extend his ground time
  • Rush in with Turning Slash + melee combo while he's down
  • Build the yellow stun meter with Forward Slash and Armed Combat
  • When stun meter fills β†’ unload your biggest burst combo
  • Priscus floats back up β†’ repeat from step 1

Watch Out For

  • Shadow attacks and spear throws β€” Nature's Snare won't help, pure dodge
  • Don't waste melee skills while he's airborne β€” save everything for ground windows
  • Sleep Arrows are your backup knockdown when Nature's Snare is recharging
  • The fight has a slower rhythm than most bosses β€” patience wins over aggression

Rewards

  • 100 Delesyia Contribution EXP
  • Blessing of the Immortal β€” rare buff
  • Ancient's Necklace β€” accessory
  • Ancient of Retribution Abyss Gear β€” powerful Abyss Gear
  • Abyss Artifact
