The Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex is a Boss Mount added in Patch 1.01.00. It requires significant story progression through Pailune and the tribal questlines before the boss encounter becomes available.
How to Get
- Progress the main story to Chapter 7: Homecoming to regain access to Pailune
- Complete enough Pailune Militia quests to unlock the tribal questlines
- Complete Skoghorn Tribe quests, including Soul Shepherd
- Unlock the Longleaf Tribe chain:
- - Complete Longleaf Forest Lost to Darkness — City in a Lightless Forest
- - Complete Longroots Lost to Darkness
- - Restore the lights/orbs in Longroots
- Accept the quest Fog Over the Forest — The Sport Hunter
- Go to Ridgehunter Tannery, use your Lantern, and track Moren, the Mistwood Huntmaster
- Defeat Moren in a two-phase battle
- Loot the Icicle Edge Alpine Ibex Horns
- Visit Elowen at the Witch's Lair in Hernand and craft the Sigil of Solidarity
Boss Location
Moren is found at Ridgehunter Tannery in Pailune. You need to complete the Longleaf Tribe questline to access this area. Use your Lantern to track him once you arrive.
Boss Fight: Moren, the Mistwood Huntmaster
- - Phases: 2
- - Moren fights mounted on an ibex and attacks with a bow — he's mobile and hard to pin down
- - Watch out for the ibex's double rear kick when you get too close. Keep your distance and use ranged attacks
- - Sustained bow pressure works well. Flame Strike is also effective against furred beasts
- - After phase 1, Moren disappears — track him again with the Lantern
- - Important: Don't kill too many regular enemies in the area during the fight. If you accidentally liberate Ridgehunter Tannery, the encounter may reset
