Prerequisites: Complete the Skoghorn Tribe quest chain (including the White Horn boss fight) + sufficient Pailune Militia trust (approximately 16+ completed Pailune faction quests).

Location: Longleaf Forest, northwest Pailune β€” inside massive tree structures.

Core gameplay: Platforming + exploration + Axiom Orb puzzles (minimal combat).

Completing this chain unlocks: Odeck Tribe β†’ Slumbering Soul & Forgotten General boss fight.

Quest Chain Structure

The Longleaf Tribe quest line contains several sub-chains:

  • Woodland Spirit's Treasure β€” Introduction quest, learn about the Longleaf Tribe's story and their current crisis
  • Fog over the Forest β€” Explore the mist-covered areas of Longleaf Forest
  • Longleaf Forest Lost to Darkness β€” Core quest chain (4 sub-quests), restore light to three villages
  • Bright Longleaf Forest β€” Follow-up after restoring light (2 sub-quests)
  • Forest Drowned in Mud β€” Wrap-up quests (2 sub-quests)
  • Day of the Longleaf Tribe β€” Final quest, completing this unlocks the Odeck Tribe

Core Quest: Longleaf Forest Lost to Darkness

This is the longest and most engaging part. You must visit three darkened villages inside giant trees and restore light to each one. The puzzle mechanics are the same across all three, but the terrain differs:

Longleaf Village (Longleaf Lost to Darkness)

Find 3 Axiom Orbs (green glowing energy spheres) scattered inside the giant tree. Use your Axiom Force ability to pull each orb toward you, then carry it to the hanging basket-like slots on the central tree structure. Reaching the upper slots requires platform jumping and climbing along tree branches.

Tip: Search methodically around the central elevator. Use high branches as landmarks.

Longroots Village (Longroots Lost to Darkness)

Same mechanic β€” collect 3 Axiom Orbs and place them in slots. Longroots is more vertically oriented, requiring more climbing. Orbs may be hidden in crevices between tree roots β€” search the lower levels carefully.

Longbranch Village (Longbranch Lost to Darkness)

The hardest of the three. Tree branch platforms are more spread out, requiring precise jumping and gliding. Make sure your stamina is nearly full before attempting long jumps β€” running out mid-air means falling and starting over.

Tips

  • Do these quests during daytime. The forest is already dark; nighttime makes finding Axiom Orbs nearly impossible.
  • Stamina management is everything. Platforming and gliding eat stamina fast. Eat stamina-boosting food before starting.
  • Axiom Orbs glow green β€” scan for green light in the darkness. If you see a faint glow in the distance, head toward it.
  • Complete each village before moving on. Quests unlock sequentially.
  • If you're stuck, return to the central elevator and look around β€” the slot positions usually hint at where the orbs are hidden nearby.
  • No boss fights in this chain. Enjoy the quieter pace after the intensity of White Horn.

Rewards

Each "restore light" sub-quest awards:

  • +110 Pailunese Contribution EXP
  • Longleaf Tribe trust increase

After completing all quests including "Day of the Longleaf Tribe," the Odeck Tribe faction quest line unlocks. This leads to the Slumbering Soul quest and the Forgotten General boss fight.
