OVERVIEW
The Sanctum of Absolution is the toughest of the Wisdom Sanctums. The main challenge isn't the puzzle — it's the boss fight against Antumbra's Sword. Defeating it earns you one of the strongest swords in the game.
REACHING THE SANCTUM
Travel to the marked location in Hernand after receiving the quest from Elowen. Navigate through the ruins and clear all Antumbra enemies along the way.
BOSS FIGHT: ANTUMBRA'S SWORD
PHASE 1
The boss uses heavy sword combos with wide arcs. Dodge to the side rather than backwards. Look for openings after his 3-hit combo finishes.
PHASE 2
At around 50% health, the boss gains dark energy attacks with extended range. Stay at medium distance and punish after his lunging strikes.
COMBAT TIPS
- - Bring plenty of cooked meat for healing.
- - Shield of Betrayal + Gentleman's Oath Sword shield-bash works well here.
- - Use Wind Curtain to deflect his projectile attacks.
AFTER THE FIGHT
Collect the Vessel of Dark Pursuit sword and the Abyss Artifact. The Sanctum cleanses automatically after the boss dies.
