MARK OF THE SCAR
Read the stone tablet in the Cloister of Enlightenment. The riddle reads: "Lend your ear to the cries of suffering. Enlightenment shall begin beyond the sea of crimson sands in the north, where severed bonds will be born."
Travel north to the World's Navel — a desolate ruin in the Urdavah mountains. The climb is lengthy; use Force Palm 3 times consecutively (R3 / Mouse Wheel) to boost yourself upward for faster movement. At the summit, you'll discover a sleeping dragon called Blackstar with a spear lodged in its back. A cutscene triggers as the dragon awakens and takes flight.

Important: Activate the Abyss Nexus at the ruins before leaving — you'll need it as a fast travel point.
SHACKLES OF FATE
Head to the Great Gate of Urdavah (fast travel from the Nexus you just activated). Position yourself on top of the bridge and use the Wait prompt (hold Options/ESC). The dragon will circle closer from the distance.

When Blackstar approaches the bridge, jump down and deploy your glider (Square/X/Spacebar). While airborne, target the dragon with Axiom Force (hold L3/Left Stick/TAB). The connection glows blue, then turns red — immediately press the mount button to climb aboard.

Tip: The timing is tight. If you miss and fall, press Wait mid-air before hitting the ground to reset the attempt.
RIDING BLACKSTAR
Grip the dragon's back and manage your stamina carefully. When Blackstar attempts to throw you off with barrel rolls or sharp turns, hold L2/LT/Q to Resist. Only activate Resist during throw-off attempts — holding it continuously drains stamina too fast.
After roughly 2 minutes, a prompt appears. Enter Focus mode, charge your Force Palm, and target the golden orb on the dragon's back. A successful hit triggers a dramatic cutscene — Blackstar is freed from the spear's corruption.
