CROSSING POINT
Read the stone tablet in the Cloister. The riddle: "There are things that grow stronger the more they are worn and weathered. Enlightenment shall begin where the swords of past and present cross."
Travel to the Spire of the Sun in the Forebearer's Barrens area of the Crimson Desert region. The tower is enormous and impossible to miss. Simply approaching the entrance completes this quest.

UNWAVERING STEPS — MIRROR PUZZLE (EXTERIOR)
Head east of the Spire to find the first mirror cluster. Move the one unlit corner mirror to redirect the laser beam through the chain of mirrors toward the south.

The southern puzzle is more complex. Adjust mirrors in sequence: redirect the illuminated mirror sideways toward the middle, position the corner mirror to reach the stationary mirror, then slide the additional mirror along the floor groove close enough to bounce light toward the center crystal. Finally, adjust the back corner mirror to redirect light to the Spire entrance.
Tip: At night with low brightness, the light paths on the floor can be nearly invisible. Consider adjusting brightness or waiting until in-game daytime.

MIRROR PUZZLE (INTERIOR)
Enter the Spire and climb the spiral staircase. At each floor, interact with a mirror to redirect the light beam upward. The truncated stairs reassemble with each successful redirect. Repeat floor by floor until reaching the top, then aim the final mirror at the ceiling crystal to unlock the stairs leading to the Abyss Gate.

BOSS FIGHT: GOYEN
Enter the Abyss through the Nest of Valor to face Goyen — a fearsome warrior who fights like a larger, stronger version of Kliff with sword and shield.
Activate the Abyss Nexus before engaging. If you die, you can respawn here instead of restarting.

Goyen's Most Dangerous Attack — Aerial Shockwave:
- When he leaps into the air, watch the ground for the impact radius indicator
- Dodge repeatedly to avoid the shockwave, then prepare for an immediate follow-up midair kick
- Dodge sideways to evade the second hit
General Strategy:
- Dodge right to avoid his sword combos, then land 4 heavy attacks + light attacks during his recovery
- Blocking is risky — his hits deal massive damage even through guard
- Always heal to full immediately after taking any damage; he can kill you in 1-2 hits
- Recommended: weapon/armor refinement level 7+, or farm Abyss Artifacts for more max health
After defeating Goyen, collect rewards from the rooms behind the arena. The left staircase leads to the Throne of Truth. The right room contains the recipe "Fish Block Soup" and special equipment "Black Fate."
